Remote Counselling in the UK Walk & Talk Therapy in Staffordshire
"WHEN I ACCEPT MYSELF AS I AM THEN I CAN CHANGE." (CARL ROGERS)
Creative Souls Counselling offers a safe space to talk about whatever is troubling you. Inevitably there are times in our lives when we feel overwhelmed and distressed. Sometimes it can feel like you’ve hit a brick wall and can’t see the way forward. Talking to an experienced counsellor, who will listen without judgement, can be really helpful.
At Creative Souls, I offer one-to-one counselling (talking therapy) to adults in the UK. You can choose between remote counselling (video call or telephone), or walk & talk if you are local to Staffordshire. As the name suggests, I believe counselling itself to be a creative process, where different possibilities and connections are explored. If you're interested in how art can be used to explore issues I also offer creative counselling sessions via Zoom. You can explore all the different options available by clicking on the links.
There are many reasons why you may be seeking counselling. You may not even really know what the problem is; perhaps you just feel unfulfilled, lacking direction or purpose in your life. Working in a person-centred way, I can help you explore the issues you are facing. If you have experienced a bereavement, or another loss, this is an area in which I specialise. I can help you to process the difficult roller-coaster of emotions you may be facing, and find a way to understand and come to terms with what has happened.
Some of the other issues I work with include: Pregnancy/ birth- related issues Stress and anxiety Depression OCD Low self-esteem Identity issues Loneliness Relationships/ conflict Trauma Spirituality and existential questions
The Person-Centred Approach
Counsellors are trained in different modalities, and this determines how they work with clients. My training is in the person-centred approach, which works on the assumption that the client is the expert on their own life and experiences, and has within themselves the necessary resources for growth and change. The role of the counsellor is to journey alongside the client, listening with empathy and without judgement, offering reflections and observations to help them gain deeper insight.
