Outdoor therapy, sometimes referred to as Nature Therapy, Walk and Talk, or Ecotherapy, is growing in popularity and prevalence. This is not surprising given the scientific research showing the benefits of nature for health and wellbeing. The recent pandemic has also played a part in propelling this movement.
Being in nature can be a great way of connecting with yourself. This type of counselling allows you to experience the freedom of being outdoors, whilst being held within a nurturing space.
Physical movement, mindfulness and engaging the senses can all bring shifts in perspectives, creativity and a deeper intuition.
Easily accessible from Staffordshire and Cheshire, outdoor sessions take place at a beautiful nature reserve setting near Newcastle-under-Lyme. Tailored to suit your needs and preferences, sessions can involve a gentle or more challenging walk, sitting still- or a mixture of both.
If you choose outdoor therapy, we will begin with at least one online session to assess the suitability of this type of therapy and discuss how to make the sessions work best for you. We will decide on a location, and meet there at our agreed appointment time.
I do offer slightly longer sessions of an hour and a half if you feel you would benefit from this and would like to walk a bit further, or do some deeper work.
£60 for a 50 minute session
£85 for a 90 minute session
Indoor Counselling If you like the idea of being in a rural setting, but would prefer to be indoors, I also offer in-person sessions in the Therapy Shed- a warm and comfortable space in my garden, with an outdoorsy feel! Click here for more information.
